The Red Rose is part of Nedging Hall Estate, a family owned country estate in Suffolk.

We're proud to grow many of our own vegetables, fruits and herbs in our gardens at Nedging Hall. Our food is about using the incredible ingredients that are right on our doorstep. The venison found on the menu is sourced on the estate. This is all key to our sustainability efforts, reducing food miles and allows our talented kitchen team to craft new dishes.

Homegrown is best

We have a team of gardeners who ensure The Red Rose has the best homegrown produce.

We’re continually looking to expand the Nedging Kitchen Garden. We are now growing the very special Roscoff onions and have twelve-year old asparagus beds. Nedging Hall Estate invests to ensure that the only impact we have on the environment is a positive one.

Wild game on the estate

We serve game from the family shoot and venison from the estate’s fallow and roe deer.

To ensure the maintenance of the estate’s ecosystem, shooting sustains a healthy population of wild game. Whether it’s venison, pheasants or partridges from the estate, you can enjoy our game at The Red Rose knowing it's lived a life that nature intended and is available to us through our efforts to maintain a balance.

Brewing our own Beer

Nedging Hall Estate grows its own barley on the farm, which is sent to our very own Mauldon's Brewery to be crafted into our award-winning beer. You'll find them on tap in The Red Rose.

Brewing fine Suffolk Beers since 1795. Mauldon’s core range is six traditional award-winning ales, a Mauldons lager and seasonal small batch brews are crafted throughout the year.

Fresh flowers at the farm

We have a ‘no dig’ flower farm at Nedging Hall. This allows us to grow all the flowers for the tables at The Red Rose.

We grow flowers on an acre of land at Nedging Hall, Suffolk. Sustainability lies at the heart of the business with the primary emphasis being on regenerative farming methods using organic practices.
